Our History

UCFAA was founded in 2007 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching and uplifting the lives of Filipinos in Utah and the Philippines. It all began with a dream: to help struggling Filipino families receive the support and assistance they need.

That dream became a reality when a small group of Filipinos came together with a shared vision. Although the group had very limited funds at the time, we began organizing fundraising events and community activities. Through determination, teamwork, and a strong desire to serve, our vision slowly took shape and grew into what UCFAA is today.

Our journey as an organization has not always been easy. We have faced many obstacles, worked to mend broken relationships, and continued to struggle with limited funds. Yet through every challenge, our commitment to serving the community has remained strong. With perseverance and a shared sense of purpose, we continued moving forward and growing stronger together.

Today, we carefully plan and carry out programs and activities that welcome everyone, whether they are full-blooded Filipinos, of mixed heritage, or simply interested in being part of our community. These activities give families opportunities to connect, celebrate Filipino traditions, learn about our heritage, and build lasting friendships within the community.

Mission

To lead and create impactful and meaningful initiatives that inspire growth and engagement through:

  1. Innovative learning experiences, language development programs, and deep cultural immersion.

  2. Sustainable humanitarian efforts and environmental stewardship programs.

  3. Vibrant cultural events, including celebrations, festivals, and community sports.

  4. Empowering youth development programs and inclusive mentorship to foster future leaders.
